The MGH Institute of Health Professions’ students were in force in March when Cecropia Strong delivered “the loot” to Spaulding Rehab Hospital. When the Amy’s Gifts of Hope “loot” goes down to Spaulding Rehab Hospital I always want to capture the excitement and the gratitude of the people receiving the gifts. It’s especially true with the chocolates, and the folks at Harbor Sweets have been incredibly generous in their giving. They needed to feel the patients’ love!
I spoke with Leah Terrill, a Child Life Specialist, who’s my contact at Spaulding. Could she record what the patients said in gratitude? We wanted the folks from Harbor Sweets to know how much the chocolates mean to the patients!

Thanks from a Recreational Therapist
(Leah handles the giving of gifts on the Children’s Floor, but she relies on the Recreational Therapists from the adult floors to give the gifts there.)
It was such a delight handing out gifts of chocolates—patients were so thankful to receive these from a wonderful organization, such as yours! It made my day seeing patients smile as they received a yummy treat throughout their day. I really appreciate you taking the time to give a donation to Spaulding Rehab Hospital. Everyone appreciates a gift during this challenging time!
Thank you!
